Some of the most timeless wardrobes aren't built around having more, they're built around choosing well.

As a senior brand designer and art director based in Iowa, Emily Anderberg has an eye for thoughtful design, and that perspective naturally extends to the way she gets dressed. Her style is rooted in clean silhouettes, versatile pieces, and the belief that the smallest details, such as an earring stack, a favorite handbag, or the perfect bracelet, can transform an everyday outfit into something memorable.

Since becoming a mom, Emily has embraced a wardrobe that reflects her real life effortless, elevated, and designed to move with her through her everyday. It's a refreshing reminder that personal style isn't about chasing every trend, but it's about choosing pieces that make you feel confident, comfortable, and unmistakably yourself.

Today Emily shares the accessories she never leaves home without, the AITD piece she'd pack for a Cape Cod escape, and why dressing for the life you actually live is the best style advice of all.

1.) What's your favorite way to elevate an everyday outfit?

I usually elevate my outfits with accessories like a fun bag or earrings or bracelets. I usually like a more minimal outfit anyways, so having fun accessories in my closet is a must!

2.) If you were packing for a weekend getaway, which AITD pieces would make the suitcase? How would you style it, and where would you take it?

I’d take something like the Faye Empire Dress because it’s flowy & simple so I can add accessories. Its universal for day time or night and I’d take it to cape cod! A relaxing, calm weekend getaway in the summer!

3.) What's your favorite way to spend a day off?

If I have the day off I usually like to get a workout in and make a yummy breakfast & spend time with my son. Spend some time cooking and do a little shopping!

4.) What accessories do you never leave the house without?

I never leave without a handbag and always have my earring stack on, I feel naked without my favorite earrings!

5.) What's a fashion trend you've embraced recently?

Comfy and oversized pieces. Since having my son, I’ve stayed away from trends and leaned more into comfortable and elevated pieces that make me feel good and put together with ease!

6.) What advice would you give someone trying to find their personal style?

I personally think you need to feel good and confident in what you wear! Ask yourself: What do I actually do most days? Your wardrobe should fit your real life.
